Great
Beginnings

Great Beginnings is an early intervention program for children from birth to 3 years old who demonstrate developmental delays or who are at risk for such delays. Services from this program are offered at 3 preschool settings or may be provided in the home or community. The goal of Great Beginnings is to help children learn new skills designed specifically on individual needs. The program works not only with the child but also the family to reinforce new skills so eventually the child may transition to the most appropriate typical school setting.

Beginnings

Bright Beginnings is an early intervention program for children from birth to 3 years of age with significant communication and social delays and who demonstrate unique learning styles. The services provided through Bright Beginnings help children learn to communicate effectively and to build and establish relationships with others so they can successfully transition into the most appropriate typical school setting. Evidence-based practices employed include: TEACCH (highly structured, visually-oriented learning environments), PECS (picture exchange communication system), principles of ABA (applied behavior analysis).

Program

Both After School Programs, one in Richmond and one in Concord, offer support for families by: providing a safe and supportive environment for students after the school day, offering all-day services during school recesses, assisting participating students work on identified goals both educational and personal, providing fun activities on-site and in the community, employing teachers with early childhood education credits.
